Chelsea recovered from conceding an early goal to come back and beat Liverpool 2-1 at Stamford Bridge in the Premier League.

Martin Skrtel shocked the home crowd by turning the ball home from a free kick in the fourth minute but Eden Hazard’s excellent finish to a great team move provided the equalizer not long afterwards on the 17th minute.

Samuel Eto’o then completed the turnaround after 34 minutes when he dispatched a cute cross from Oscar past Simon Mignolet.

Nigeria's John Obi Mikel was vital to the win as he was introduced at the start of the second half to replace England international, Lampard, and the Super Eagles star did not disappoint. He helped to ensure that Chelsea held on to the advantage till end of the game.

The three points from Sunday's win keeps Jose Mourinho's men in 3rd place with 40 points, two adrift of table toppers Arsenal; and one behind second placed Manchester City.

The other game at the White Hart Lane ended in a 3-0 win for Tottenham over Stoke City.
