Alhaji Ndimi Assures Investors

Chairman Oriental Energy Resources, Alhaji Mohammed Indimi has said that, he is ready to partner any investor that is willing to invest in Maiduguri to turn around the fortunes of the state.

Indimi stated this Friday in Maiduguri, when he led a delegation of Solar Power company Executives on a courtesy visit to the Borno state governor, Kashim Shettima.

He said, finance is not a problem to him as an inverstor who have nvestments in all parts of the world, as such investing in Borno state, which is his home state has always been his area of interest.

"I am here to compliment the Borno state government efforts in developmental transformation and I am willining to partner with any investor coming. I invest all over the world and was waiting for the insecurity aituation to lapse, but since we waited in the last two years, I feel we can no longer wait but to start doing something for the state to compliment government efforts." Indimi said.

The business mogul said he has a foundation and by 2014 he would start doing something under the foundation beginning with the training of 500 youths, where he intend to trained them and also pay them good salary during the training as well as offer them good employment.

He lined up opportunity potentials that he wishes to invest in to include solar power plants and farming, adding that, he already have 500 hecters of land in Kogi state and wishes to acquire farmland in Jigawa state as well.

Also speaking Mr. Tari Muntas, head of business and investment, Abdul Hadi Al-quatari and Sons of Saudi Arabia said, they were told that there are industries in Borno state, which are no longer working due to lack of power supply and hope that the investment in solar power that they hope to bring to Borno state iwill not only improve the lives of the people by providing power but also to provide employment for the people.

While responding, governor Kashim Shettima said, words along cannot quantify how greatful the state is to Alhaji Mohammed Indimi, who has always been there for the people in their hours of need when other wealthy sons of Borno had relocated out of the state in the face of insecurity.

Governor Shettima said, Borno state is the best place in the country for Solar Power, as such, the idea to invest in Solar Power will go along way to resuscitate dormant industries in the state and create wealth for the people.
