“Dr Uduaghan has made invaluable contributions to the physical and socio economic development of Delta state. He has governed the state in a manner that it is evident in every facet of life. The beautification of the state's capital, Asaba has turned Delta State to a typical European city, As compared to other states in Nigeria, Governor Uduaghan's administration has redefined governance through comprehensive, integrated and holistic approach that has introduced a new order hinged on promotion of fiscal discipline, transparency and accountability.
“Governor Uduaghan's effective implementation of his widely acclaimed development blue print of turning Delta State to a land of peace and promise has earned him several awards in and outside Nigeria including this one we are presenting today. His development blueprint has a clear programme of action in the various sectors of the state's economy with well-defined targets and strategies for policy implementation,” he noted.
The Publisher maintained that the governor has demonstrated that with discipline, and effective application of resources, so much can be done by a state administration with the resources at its disposal to improve the lives of the people like consolidation and rapid growth which is very visible in Delta State.
“Physical infrastructures like housing, mass middle and low cost housing, economic expansion, employment in industrial, agricultural and tourism sectors, rural development through accessibility and development of local institutions, service delivery and good governance philosophy to public administration is admirable for all to see.
“Since assumption of office despite all the setbacks with court challenges, the governor has stayed focused to his three point agenda and his footprints are visible in the infrastructural projects he has successfully executed which are either in use or awaiting official commissioning.
