Umeh’s Aide Cautions APC Scribe

By APGA UK

Publicity Secretary of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Enugu State, Mr. Osita Okechukwu, has been advised to desist from using the platform of Congress of Nigerian Political Parties (CNPP) to propagate the hidden agenda of his party.

Reacting to Okechukwu's attacks on the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Governor of Anambra State, Mr. Peter Obi as well as his call on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to cancel the recent Anambra State governorship election, Special Assistant (Media) to the National Chairman of APGA, Mr. Stan Okeke, advised the APC publicity secretary to review his political calculations and align himself properly with progressive forces in the country.

He said it was unfortunate that Okechukwu was taking undue advantage of his position in the CNPP, which is an umbrella platform for many other political parties in the country, including APGA, to cast aspersions on notable members of the political organisation.

According to Okeke, nobody gave Okechukwu the mandate to speak for CNPP and wondered why he was yet to resign his position as secretary of CNPP, since he is now the publicity secretary of APC in Enugu State.

Furthermore, Umeh's media aide accused Okechukwu of being used as a stooge to attack the interests of Igbo, and wondered why Governor Obi and APGA had become his target.

“He should know when to apply reason and stop being an attack dog for enemies and political opponents of Igbo people. It could have been more honourable for him to do those releases as Publicity Secretary of APC. Nobody gave him the mandate in CNPP to call for the resignation of Alhaji Attahiru Jega from INEC, simply because APC lost in the Anambra governorship election. Why didn't he do the same when Governor Adams Oshiomhole won in Edo State?” Okeke said.

He further stated that it was embarrassing that the APC had infiltrated civil society organisations, the Nigeria Bar Association (NBA) and so many other organisations and using them to raise false alarm on so many national issues.

He warned the APC scribe to have recourse to history for him to see that all the people used against their people in the past, ended up as enemies of their own people.
