Armed robbers attacks MTN vehicle in Enugu, kill driver, Keke operator

Trigger-happy armed robbers numbering about four attacked an MTN branded vehicle on Monday in Enugu, killing the driver.

Also shot dead was an operator of a tricycle, popularly called, Keke NAPEP, who was trying to escape the scene before he was hit by the robbers' bullet.

Two other persons were shot on the leg by the sons of the devil who must have trailed the vehicle to the point of the attack intercepted around Mbanugo Bustop in Enugu metropolis, where they intercepted the driver .

Eyewitness account said the robbers shot the  driver at close range before carting away undisclosed sum of money and unsold MTN recharge cards. They were said to have spirited away in a yellow taxi car before police arrived the scene.

The other two victims  who were shot on the leg were rushed to hospital.

However, the Enugu State police command is yet to issue official statement on the incident.
