The Campaign train first moved to the Palace of the Traditional ruler of Awka Eze Uzu, Obi Gibson Nwosu where the PDP Candidate Comrade Nwoye received the traditional blessing of the Monarch before going to the Dr. Alex Ekwueme Square venue of the flag-off. Before the arrival of the Vice President and National party leadership the venue and its outside parameter has been filled with the party faithful and Anambra people waiting.

The PDP National Chairman Alhaji Tukur, Vice President Namadi Sambo, Deputy Senate President Rt. Hon Ike Ekweremadu, Deputy Speaker of House of Representative Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha ,Prince Arthur Eze (Ozoigbondu),National Women Leader Dr Kema Chikwe,Former National Chairman Ahmodu Ali,Dr Ekwesili-Eze Nwodo, the NANS President Yinka Ayafele and other party leaders were elated by the mammoth crowd they addressed, a kind the PDP National Chairman said was massive and indicates that Anambra still remains a PDP state. He asked Anambra people to not only vote for Comrade Tony Nwoye as PDP candidate but to also support PDP's new trend empowering the youths with leadership posts. Tukur tasked Anambra people to remember that they need to be fully integrated with the party at the centre to exploit all the benefits and dividends of democracy and other opportunities.

For Vice President Sambo, he brought President Goodluck Jonathan's good news and solidarity support to Comrade Nwoye's Anambra governorship quest asking Anambra electorate to vote one of their own who understands the pulse of the masses and grassroots needs and challenges. He believed that Anambra will do better under Comrade Nwoye and his Transformation agenda because he has already washed his hands well.

Senator Ekweremadu and Hon. Ihedioha were unanimous in their submission that Igbo nation have been waiting for Anambra to take her lead position in the comity of nations and her inability to do so has been robbing the Igbos their opportunities and fundamental qualities and credible leadership in Nigeria and beyond. They opined that they came to lend their support to Tony Nwoye's liberation of Anambra for Igbo and national integral politics.

It is also noteworthy that Hon. Emeka Idu, the Accord Party's only legislator and Deputy Minority Leader, Anambra State House of Assembly and hundreds of his followers decamped and were received into PDP by the National Chairman of Party Alhaji Tukur.

Former Minister of Transport and PDP National woman leader, Hon Kema Chikwe and wife of the Chairman PDP Board of Trustees Iyom Josephine Aneni threw their weight behind Tony Nwoye and bade Anambra people to vote for a youth that will bring in innovations and technocrats to bail the state. More interesting, the former PDP national chairman Dr. Ahmodu Ali advised the Anambra people to vote Tony Nwoye as next Governor of Anambra state because he was a product of tradition having served as President, National Association of Nigerian Students, NANS in the past. Dr. Ali used the occasion to urge Nigerian students and youths to rise and take leadership through Tony Nwoye who he so much trusted since he [Ahmadu Ali] was a former secretary of Nigeria Students Union in the sixties and believes that he would do well.

In the same vain, President NANS Comrade Yinka Ayafele who spoke on behalf of Nigerian students craved for the votes of the Students and Youths electorate in Anambra in favour of Comrade Tony Nwoye who has seen it all with students' challenges and needs. Comrade Ayafele also said that the National Secretariat of NANS has been moved from Obafemi Awolowo University to Anambra state for the purpose of actualizing Tony Nwoye's governorship ambition. Meanwhile Chief Arthur Eze, the Grand patron of PDP in Anambra state also spoke soliciting the support of the Anambra electorate for Tony Nwoye and his governorship ambition and asked that a youth be given chance to rule that we may have a new begging.

Other PDP bigwigs that spoke and lend their support to Comrade Tony Nwoye includes Senator Ben Obi, National Publicity of PDP Chief Olise Metuh, State Chairman PDP Mr. Ken Emeakayi, National Vice Chairman Southeast Chief Akobundu.

Finally, the Vice President Sambo, together with the national chairman of the Party Alhaji Tukur officially handed over the PDP Flag to Tony Nwoye as the party's candidate for the November 16th Anambra governorship election. For the PDP candidate Comrade Tony Nwoye it was a day of joy that tells well his vision for Anambra state and he as well asked Anambra people to challenge him with their mandate. “I have come to serve. I will not let you down, my people!” says Tony Nwoye. With the Supreme Court ruling and Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC revalidation and PDP flag finally presented to Comrade Tony Nwoye the deal has been sealed on who owns the PDP mandate in the coming gubernatorial election. The electorate can now vote knowing the owner of the mandate. Vote for Tony Nwoye! Vote for Peoples' liberator and transformation agenda!
