Source: Akin Omobose/Nigeriafilms.com

One quality of a Nigerian office holder, no matter how small the office is, is living in affluence and abundance at the detriment of his/ her followers. In our political class, there are things that are expected of you to possess in terms of riches and affluence. If you are not stupendously rich, you hardly gets into any political position in Nigeria and even when you manage to gain the post, you try as much as you can, to enrich yourself the more knowing fully well that you belong to a particular political class. Barely few weeks when the Incumbent Minister of Aviation acquired a bullet proof car worth over N200m, reactions have been coming from Nigerians. These are their reaction.

It has become a statuesque in Nigeria--- Clems Ohamaeze

Well, almost all political office holders are living the same kind of luxurious life style. It has become a statuesque. They should know that the money they are spending belongs to the general public. It is amazing how sch a huge amount of money was spent just to buy a bullet proof car while some Nigerians cannot afford a 2 square meal. The government should do something about that. It is a big shame to. But with time, this issue will be swept under the carpet. Almost all our leaders live that kind of life.

It shows the level of corruption in the country---Buchi, Comedian

It is the depth of corruption in the country that is causing that. Most of our loeaders are so corrupt that they care less about the welfare of the citizens. It can never happen to our colonial masters. If a British parliament earns one pound more than his/ her salary, he/ she will be sacked. It is so bad.

Wrong trend that has to change---Mary Lazarus, Actress
I think its a trend that is already in existence; Nigerians believe in using opportunities because you may never get the opportunity again. But like l would always say that a good name is better than great riches. And the fear of God that great wealth. Questions that should come to our minds are what would I be remembered by; when l am no more in that postion. As it is; they get paid well! I cannot understand the reasons for the theft. My advise is that we should cut our coat according to our pocket and not our size.

The country needs revolution from the bad eggs--- Amaka Obi, Actress
We need a fresh start; a revolution. New, young leaders, leaders who won't take orders from the old men. We cannot check mate thieves on high, public officers in this country as of today because they take orders from people who kept them in offices. As for a woman in position; women love stuff, but if she is watched and disciplined, they turn out better public officers. I also think one can eat a deal in his or her office if he or she equally works well. There won't be any bases for checking your sector if you do your job well.

Its insensitivity---Anta Laniyan

It is a case of cheer insensitivity to the plight of Nigerians living in abject squalor. It is a very thing bad

I am not to judge them---Adokiya

Well, I am not to judge them but it is clear and sickening that people can not eat and a lot of our leaders live in waste. I weep and sober when I hear this. But one thing is sure, the evil that people do, remains with them. The good they do, comes back to them as well. We live in cages like birds and in holes like ants with too much security and fear of the unknown simply because, our leaders have lost the focus and vision of being a leader. Today, we know how the hunter has become the hunted. I leave them to God Almighty. The leaders who are wicked now get entangled in their own evil.

Misappropriating national fund is bad---Princess Chineke

Leaders living luxurious lifestyle by misappropriating our national funds,is totally not right, when the poor are languishing in abject poverty. But if they are living luxurious life style on hard-smart earned money then its fine, one needs to spoil self one's in a while.
