Yobe Procured 58 Million Naira Equipment

Feeder and rural roads construction in Yobe state received a boost from the present administration of Governor Ibrahim Gaidam as earth moving equipment worth 58 million Naira were procured by the Ministry of integrated and rural development.

The government brought the equipment to enhance the provision of qualitative roads in both urban and rural areas in the state for easy movement of goods and services.

The equipment procured include pay-loader, tippers and graders.

Governor Ibrahim Gaidam appreciated the quality of the equipment, he said "everybody can see that all the equipment procured are brand new and it will surely assist the government in executing its laudable projects across the state in order to give value to our citizens in moving their goods and services to the urban centers.

According to him, the machines are value for our money. My administration will never patronize second hand vehicles or earth moving equipment because it will not stand the test of time.

The Deputy Governor Engineer Abubakar Aliyu who is over-seeing the Ministry for integrated and rural development appreciates Governor Gaidam for prompt approval granted for the procurement of the new earth moving equipment.

He said "the equipment will be effectively utilized for the purpose procured for, while assuring that the ministry will use the machines in opening up the rural areas in the state" in the shortest possible time and the staff we make sure the equipment will be handled with care" he said.
