REFUTAL. "FALSE REPORT ABOUT CHIEF DIEKIVIE B. IKIOGHA,CONCERNING THE PEOPLES DEMOCRATIC PARTY (PDP) IN IMO STATE"

By TheNigerianVoice-TNV

Our attention has been drawn to a news story, credited to the All Progressives Congress (APC), carrying false report about Chief Diekivie B. Ikiogha, the Chief of Staff Bayelsa House, Abuja, concerning what the sources describe as political onslaught in Imo State.

For the avoidance of doubt, we wish to state unequivocally that, the report is a fabrication and therefore, false in its entirety. Let it be clearly stated that Chief Ikiogha was not in Imo

State on October 23, 2013, the day of the fabricated attempted onslaught, by thugs suspected to have been hired by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), nor any other day, as far as the story reported from the sources credited to, which untrue incident occurred only in the figment of their imaginations is concern.

On the aforesaid date, Chief Ikiogha was in Bayelsa State for the Tenth Anniversary of the Redeemed

Christian Church of God (RCCG) in Yenagoa, with Pastor E. A. Adeboye in attendance. In fact, due to this programme in addition to the reception organized by the Bayelsa State Government in honour of Pastor Adeboye, Chief Ikiogha, as a member of the church and government functionary, left Abuja to be part of the final preparations for the programmes in Yenagoa, all of which he participated fully till the end. He would n't have therefore, abandoned these precious events for anything else. Indeed, he was not in Imo State, hence the report in question is complete fallacy.

More so, Chief Diekivie Ikiogha is not from Imo State, neither is he a member of the Imo State PDP

Exco, let alone the National Exco of the Party, to be involved in the affairs of the party in that State as wrongly alleged. As a responsible and law abiding citizen and politician, Chief Ikiogha cannot be part of such alleged plot in a foreign land nor his own state, Bayelsa.

The news report should therefore, be disregarded intoto by the reading public.

The publisher(s) should retract the false, malicious and defamatory story credited to the All

Progressives Congress (APC), which is not only meant to smear Chief Ikiogha's image but to discredit the PDP in Imo State as well.
