PHCCIMA Develops Data Base For Members

The Port Harcourt Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture (PHCCIMA) have developed a database for all its members. Much of this was made known by the Publicity Secretary of the chamber, Chief Nabil Saleh during the induction ceremony of new members at the PHCCIMA Council hall in Port Harcourt.

He said the chamber is out to ensure up to date information on all its members with a view to give to track and give them quality membership service.

Saleh disclosed that the planned database would link the new PHCCIMA prepaid visa card as well as identification number for all memberss.

In his remark, the President of the chamber, Engr. Emeka Unachukwu said that membership of PHCCIMA is voluntary as there is no law that compels individuals and organizations to join, he however, said that the chamber had sets of conduct and rules which members are bound to obey and enjoined the new inductees to seize the opportunity to improve their professional competence in their various endeavours.

Similarly, the First Deputy President of PHCCIMA, Dr. Renny Cookey said that the database being proposed would go a long way in ensuring effective business networking among members.

Making a presentation titled: “Leveraging Chamber Membership For Business Networking And Success” Dr. Cookey said the chamber was working hard to create enabling environment for members as well as other business enterprises to thrive.

According to him, the various programmes being put in place by PHCCIMA will help in the growth of its members from local level to international level and urged members to key into the networking programme.
