Displeased by the low quality of films produced and inaction to maximize talents in Nigeria, Magic Lens Pictures limited has embarked on the Season 2 of its talent hunt exercise and programme that would go a long way into assisting the entertainment industry in the rebuilding of its fallen standards.

The head of Magic Lens Pictures, Charles Awurum disclosed this in a media parley with the press, which held in Enugu in respect of his company's Talent Hunt exercise for Season 2.

Promising, Awurum said, the talent hunt exercise would be introducing an alternative through hunting and training of newer talents that will be rescuing Nollywood, the highly rated third largest movie industry in the world, so not to hit the rock.

“We don't need to be told that by 2015, the industry we cherish so much will soon head to the rock. Inasmuch as this is not in doubt, we have come together with a plan that would sustain and reposition our industry for better. Of course, last year the season 1 of this hunt exercise first held; now we are looking up for the second. And this is coming as a way to make our movies acceptable both locally and internationally,” he added.

To achieve his company's vision, Awurum stated that his production firm has the capacity to actualize any dream that surrounds the Nigeria entertainment industry, emphasizing that Magic Lens Pictures as an active player in Nollywood had earlier avowed itself with commitment to deepen the industry through capacity building and creation of opportunities for up and coming artistes.

Continuing, the screen comedian stressed that with regards to deepening the character of Nollywood that Magic Lens Pictures had over the years proved its stand by producing high quality movies, which showcases the country's cultural heritage and style in the very finest details.
