FIFA could throw clubs out of European competition if racism persists

FIFA are ready to come down hard on racist teams and are prepared to throw the racists out of competitions.

A resolution has just been passed by FIFA congress declaring that, after a warning, harder action – including deducting points or complete expulsion from a tournament – can be taken.

President Sepp Blatter returned on Friday from the Cayman Islands where he met with top FIFA officials in charge of dealing with racism in football.
