Eid-El-Kabir: Adeyeye Urges Faith In Nigeria

By TheNigerianVoice-TNV

Afenifere Chieftain and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship aspirant in Ekiti State, Prince Dayo Adeyeye has congratulated Muslims in the country, especially those in Ekiti State on this year's Eid-el-Kabir, urging them to continue to have faith in Nigeria and the President Goodluck Jonathan-led PDP government.

In his goodwill message to the Muslims, Adeyeye urged Muslims and other religious faithful in the country to continue to have faith in Nigeria and its leaders, saying; “The kind of faith demonstrated by Prophet Ibrahim is what we should continue to have in Nigeria and if we do, we will all do that which will promote the unity and well-being of the country and its people.

He described Eid-el-Kabir as an occasion that should be seen beyond the traditional slaughtering of ram and merry making, adding that it should rather be a demonstration of faith in Allah (SWT) and total submission to His will as epitomised by Prophet Ibrahim.

“On behalf of the teaming members of our great party, the PDP in Ekiti State and supporters of Prince Adedayo Adeyeye Movement (PAAM), I rejoice with the Muslim faithful and Ummah on this important occasion of the Eid-el-Kabir celebration.

"I also wish to use this occasion to urge our Muslim brothers and sisters to be submissive to the will of Allah (SWT) the way both Prophet Ibrahim and his son submitted to His will.

“Nigerians should learn from the rare demonstration of faith in Allah and total submission to His will as demonstrated by Prophet Ibrahim, who was prepared to offer his only son as sacrifice as directed by Allah (SWT),” he said.
