One of Nigeria's most innovative and youth friendly network, Etisalat has once again restated its commitment to continually encourage and empower Nigerian youth as it storms Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, (MAPOLY), Abeokuta, with its all round development and empowerment initiative known as Cliqfest.

Etisalat's Cliqfest is a youth oriented program which is celebrated in various universities across Nigeria, and features a seminar, novelty matches, raffle draw and musical concert featuring top Nigerian music acts.

Commenting on the passion of the company to keep empowering the Nigerian youth, Head, Youth Segment, Etisalat Nigeria, Mr. Elvis Ogiemwanye described the initiative as a brand building platform designed to bond with Nigerian undergraduates and also give them the opportunity  to have an all-round development in sports, music and academics in a manner that seeks to guarantee them the ability to become self-sufficient after completing their tertiary education.

'Etisalat Cliqfest is designed to connect with users of our youth package, ‘Easy Cliq,’ a product that makes them stand out from the rest and become 'cooler' than their peers because of its unique selling proposition of fun, friendship and youthfulness. At Etisalat Nigeria, we believe that education is the bedrock of development, and is an essential pre-requisite to the development of the economy and its growth, along with access to social activities. So far, we have visited over 33 institutions with Etisalat Cliqfest and we will continue to reach out to more institutions'. he said.

The two-day programme started on Wednesday September 25 and featured a series of activities beginning with a seminar by renowned motivational speaker and President of Fifth Gear Plus Consulting, Mr. Niyi Adesanya.

The programme climaxed on the second day, Thursday September 26 when Etisalat rewarded students who participated in a raffle draw with different prizes, including the star prize of the day, a brand new Kia Picanto car which was won by Ojo Johnson, an ND II student of Business Administartion. Other students also won laptops, Blackberry phones, Etisalat Gaga Smartphones, dual SIM phones, recharge cards, and other prizes.

Speaking after receiving his car key, a delighted Johnson appreciated Etisalat for what he described as 'an unexpected experience.' His words: 'I am overwhelmed for winning this car today. I didn't believe I could win because I don't really believe in raffle draws. It is an unexpected experience for me and I want to thank Etisalat for bringing this event to MAPOLY.'

The event was spiced with musical performances from pop Nigerian singers, May D, Lace, Olamide and Nigerian Idol Season 3 second runner up, Safeeyat.
