Port Harcourt chamber of commerce has made an invaluable input on how Small and medium scale Enterprises can be financed in Nigeria with the launching of an SME Financing model at the London/Nigeria Business networking conference recently held at London.

President of the chamber, Engr. Emeka Unachukwu who led PHCCIMA delegation with the Rivers state Economic Advisory Council delivered a paper titled 'A CASE FOR SME FINANCING IN NIGERIA'. The presentation received wild acceptance and ovation from all participants including Union Bank who pledged to partner with port Harcourt Chamber of Commerce for the trial phase of this laudable project.

The conference which had in attendance notable Nigeria personalities also witnessed the Co-founder and director of Nigeria Business School, Prof. Pat Utomi present a paper at the forum. The Rivers state Economic Advisory Council was represented by its Chairman, Prof. Nimi Briggs and the committee chairman on Agriculture, Commerce and Industry, Barr. Francis Elechi.
