Yar’Adua: Abuja based Lawyer Sues Turai, CSO and Adeniyi
An Abuja based lawyer has dragged the wife of the president, Hajia Turai Yar'Adua; his
ADC, Col. Mustapha Onoedieva; his Chief Security Officer, Mr. Yusuf Tilde, his Chief
Security Officer, Mr. Yusuf Tilde, the National Security Adviser, Rtd. Gen. Sarki Muktar; the
Chief Of Army Staff, Lt-Gen. Abdulralman Danbazau and the Senior Special Adviser to the
president on media, Mr. Olusegun Adeniyi before the federal high court Abuja.
The plaintiff Chief Kayode Ajulo is asking the court to determine whether the inaccessibility
to President Umaru Yar'Adua by Nigerians since he returned to the country is constitutional
or not.
The plaintiff wants the court to determine whether the actions and conducts of the first to six
defendants by disallowing the seven to nine defendants and the entire Nigerians to have
access to the president are constitutional and have therefore contravened the provision of
section 22 of the 100 constitution.
Chief Kayode also wants the court to decide whether the effect of the public statement
issued by Mr Adeniyi, purportedly on behalf of the president contravenes section 1 of the
1999 constitution.
