Governor Ibrahim Gaidam of Yobe state said yesterday that his government will support the state's pilgrims to this year's hajj with free rams for sacrifice and clothes known as Ihram.

Gaidam disclosed this at Chambers of the Government House, Damaturu. He added ;pilgrims from the state will also be given free meals in Mina and Arafat.

According to him, this decision is prompted by the enormous expenses associated with the exercise while in the holy land which he said will be too much for an individual to bear, stressing that hajj exercise is the only event our largest number of people travel abroad as a group for a common purpose.

He urged pilgrims to be law abiding and be good ambassadors of the state and the country at large while in the holy land.

Gaidam advised the state's Amirul Hajj and the Speaker, Yobe State House of Assembly, Alhaji Adamu Dala Dogo to ensure that the welfare of pilgrims is not tempered with and also guide them to behave well.

The Amirul Hajj in his speech assured the Governor that his team will do its best to ensure that pilgrims are well care for.
