Nigerian Police Dismisses 3 Policemen For Molesting A Pastor's Son And Killing Him

The Nigerian Police Force has dismissed three policemen for molesting a pastor's son leading to his death in Gwoaza, the headquarters of Gwoaza local government area of Borno state.

The Borno state commissioner of Police Mr. Lawal Tanko who disclosed this yesterday said inline with the Inspector General's Transformation agenda and zero tolerance to indiscipline and corruption they should face the consequence of their action.

The CP stated that the dismissal of the officers is to serve as deterrent to others, adding that they have already been charged to court.

It could be recalled that the boy was allegedly killed by the police when he beat their dog and they arrested him and beat him to death.

The commissioner said he was seeking the cooperation of journalists in their efforts at restoring peace in the state, stressing that both police and journalist are working for the betterment of the society.

Mr. Tanko said that his doors are always open and called on journalist to always confirm any information before going to press.
