Tanko dumps Baraje-led PDP, rejoins Tukur's faction

National Treasurer of the New PDP, Alhaji Tanko Isiaku Gwamma has announced his resignation from the National Working Committee of the new PDP with immediate effect

He has rejoined the mainstream PDP and pledged loyalty to the Bamangar Tukur led faction.

Briefing journalists in the presidential villa, Alhaji Tanko said he has carefully studied the unfolding events in his party and the consequences on the polity.

He said the crisis will not augur well for the unity of the country and urged all PDP faithfuls to ensure that the crisis is resolved peacefully.
