Keep Off Bayelsa, Police Warns ‘New’ PDP

Bayelsa State Police Command has warned people of the state against associating with any group known as ‘New PDP’.

The police said it would not fold its hands and watch people use an illegal organization to disrupt the peace of the state.

The warnings were contained in a statement issued Friday by the state Commissioner of Police, Mr. Hilary Opara.

According to the statement, the Police and other security agencies in the State have been put on notice. It urged members of the public to promptly report the existence or the activities of such illegal groups in any part of the State to the nearest police station or security outfit for necessary action.

The police promised to bring to book sponsors or members of any illegal organization in the state, urging law abiding citizens to go about their normal businesses.
