Babatope Aguntasolo Wins Role Model of the Year

The National Allied Student Organizations of Nigeria (NASON) has identified and awarded the Chief Executive Officer of KingBuilder Marketing Management Limited as the Role Model of the Year.

The recognition came shortly after NASON 7th Senate Sitting that was held in Imo State recently where the over 200 member organizations of NASON unanimously agreed to acknowledge the contribution of Mr. Babatope Aguntasolo to the development of Nigerian youths.

The award was presented to Mr. Babatope by the State Coordinator of NASON in Lagos, Mr. Michael Oluwaseun who led the other delegation members to the office of the young achiever. Mr. Babatope was nominated by one of the three permanent members of NASON, the Movement for the Emancipation of Nigerian Students and Youth.

According to investigation, the nomination and subsequent recognition of Mr. Babatope was connected to his high impact and the motivational stories surrounding his success as a young entrepreneur. He started his own business in 2009 during the strike action embarked upon by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) with just two thousand naira.

Meanwhile, Mr. Michael stated during the presentation that NASON was motivated to recognize him not only because of his prolific achievements and profile but because of the story surrounding the achievements.

He left school to establish and register the KingBuilder Marketing Management Limited in order to be a leading, knowledge driven and corporately governed real estate services provider with global focus in solving housing problem specifically in Nigeria. Mr. Babatope, in 2012, was acknowledged for contributing immensely to tail off land and house ownership maladies in Lagos State through various consultancy partnerships with various individuals, government agencies and international environmental bodies.

NASON appreciated Mr. Babatope for giving Nigerian youths the opportunity to gain more experience through the Kingbuilder City Project at Atan Agbara and Ibeju-Lekki area of Lagos and also thanked him for motivating the Nigerian youths, especially the students, who he urged not to waste the opportunity created by the ongoing ASUU strike to garner practical skills outside the classroom.

Mr. Michael said “Permit me to speak the words of the entire member organization of NASON to you. NASON sincerely want to appreciate you for your contribution to youth development in Nigeria through the Kingbuilder City Project your company has embarked on and we are happy to identify with you".

In his acceptance speech, Mr. Babatope thanked the student group and advised all Nigerian students to emulate him by utilizing the present ASUU strike by engaging themselves in productive activities such as internships, trainings, workshops, seminars etc in their area of interests and disciplines. He also urged the students to be a problem solver rather than the problem of the country.

He promised that “Kingbuilder is more than ready to support any Nigerian students and partner any student groups that have qualitative and genuine aim of impacting positively in the society, especially is such students could come up with creative and innovative ideas”.
