Anambra Parallel PDP Primary: Tony Nwoye floors Ukachukwu

A former president, National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), Comrade Tony Nwoye has emerged winner of the parallel Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship primary election in the state.

At the even which ended a few moments ago, Nwoye polled 498 votes to beat his closest rival, Prince Nicholas Ukakwukwu who polled 357 votes.

The parallel congress was considered a major political upset as the odds favoured Ukachukwu, a wealthy businessman and  former member of the House of Representatives.

Earlier, another congress had elected Senator Andy Uba winner for the same PDP governor ship ticket
