Borussia Dortmund striker Robert Lewandowski rules out late departure despite interest from Chelsea

Robert Lewandowski has ruled out leaving Borussia Dortmund before the transfer window closes. The Polish striker, 25, is expected to join Bayern Munich next summer but that has not stopped speculation linking him with a number of clubs, including Chelsea.

Lewandowski has reportedly been given a handsome pay rise to reflect his development that has seen him become one of Europe’s most feared strikers.

And after the initial upset at being denied a move to Bayern, the team that beat Dortmund in the Champions League final, Lewandowski is settling down for another year at the Westfalenstadion.

He told German newspaper Bild: “It is the case that I will stay for another year at Dortmund. We have settled all our disagreements and talked things over. There are no more problems.

“Dortmund are ready to mount an attack for every title. We are chasing Bayern.”
