Delta Students Slam Delta Lawmakers On N1.2b US Training

Students of Delta State have condemned the recent trips of members of Delta State House Assemby to America in which N1.2b was alleged to have been expended on capacity training.

Condemning the action of the lawmakers while addressing newsmen in Asaba recently, Prince Koyoyo Uhrorho, Chairman National Association of Nigeria Student, Joint Campus committee Delta state Chapter said it would have been better if the money was utilized to ameliorate the suffering of the people of Delta State in term of provision of social amenities deltans and infrastructure instead of using it for round triping in America.

The student leader who deplored the huge amount earmarked for the foreign capacity building opined that if the training had taken place locally those money would have been diverted to better the lives of Deltans. He urged the lawmakers to apologized to Deltans for this absurdity.

Koyoyo Uhrorho also used this medium to appeal to ASUU and Federal Government to swiftly resolve the impasse between them in the interest of the Nigeria students whom he claimed are already losing their patience
