Fashola over playing APC

The Lagos State PDP has described the manner in which Governor Raji Fashola is taking the registration of APC as a vindication that the governor has strong tendencies to be vindictive, sectional and wasteful.

The description is coming on the heels of the celebrations and numerous congratulatory messages sponsored by the Governor.

The party opines that such open commitments and attitude are not expected of a Governor who should be as non partisan as possible, being Governor for the state and not for a particular party.

In another vein, The lagos State PDP has welcomed the new state Commissioner for Finance, Mr. Ayo Gbeleyi, but condemned the statement credited to the said Commissioner that he shall continue the works already put in place by his predecessor.

The party opines that such statement meant that Lagosians were going to continue in the multiple taxation, and lack of financial transparency in the accounts of the State.

It counselled the Commissioner to immediately review the Tax System in the state to reduce the exorbitant cost of living in the State

The party thus admonished the new Finance Commissioner to retract the statement as abiding by it means that himself will continue to aid the exploitation of lagosians.
