Gunmen abduct three female primary sch teachers in Edo

GUNMEN suspected to be kidnappers, Thursday, abducted three female primary school teachers at Orogbua Primary school, Upper Ekenwa road Benin City.

The victims Patience Osadolor, Momodu Aisna and Patience Okoshone, were abducted at the premises of the school, after the gunmen who came in a commando style, they shot sporadically and escaped in a car belonging to one of the victims.

A stray bullet was said to have hit one Mr Derick Akpotu, who was in the school to check on his daughter. Vanguard was informed that he was being treated at an undisclosedhospital.

The sporadic gun shots scared both teachers and pupils making them run helter-skelter for their lives.

The Edo state Police spokesman, DSP Moses Egoevoen, said the command had mounted a manhunt for the suspects, reiterating that 'Edo state cannot be a haven for kidnappers.

The Edo Command under the leadership of the Commissioner of Police, Folunsho Adebanjo had made it clear that any criminal that failed to repent will be dealt with in the state.

'So we are not relenting, those behind the crime will be apprehended no matter how fast they try to run'
