Chime expresses shock at tragic death of First Lady's mother

Governor Sullivan Chime of Enugu State has expressed shock and sadness at the death of Mrs Charity Iwari-Oba, mother of the First Lady, Mrs Patience Jonathan, in a
ghastly motor accident along the Port Harcourt -Yenogoa Expressway last Monday.

Chime, in a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Chukwudi Achife, described the incident as tragic and unfortunate.

He expressed his condolences to Mrs Jonathan, her husband and deceased's in-law, President
Goodluck Jonathan and the entire Iwari-Oba family of Okirika, Rivers State over the sad development.

Governor Chime prayed for the peaceful repose of the soul of the deceased while asking God to give her survivors the fortitude to bear her untimely loss.
