Families, Experts Arrive In Lagos For Benola Conference

Some of the world's top health experts and those involved in the care and management of persons with cerebral palsy have arrived Lagos for Benola Conference.

'The stigma, the fears and the reality is this year's theme at the Benola Family Forum which kicks off at 11:00am on Saturday, July 20, 2013 in Lagos, Nigeria.

AVM Femi Gbadebo (Rtd), Founder of Benola: A Cerebral Palsy in a statement Thursday said 'the one-day conference is an opportunity for educators, specialists, families and other interested individuals to share experiences and tips'.

'It is also to deliberate on appropriate modalities for early detection and effective management of persons with cerebral palsy in Nigeria' the statement said.

The Family Forum, hosted by Benola: A cerebral palsy and supported by Phillips Pharmaceutical, Nigerian Air Force, Kamsad Ventures, The Bright House Group, Nosak Pharmaceutical and K and Q Global Ventures Limited, takes place at the Peninsula Hotel and Towers, Lekki Phase 1, Lagos.

'Benola is demonstrating its commitment to the management of cerebral palsy' the statement added.
