Diamond Bank Apologises Over NLC Picketing

Diamond Bank Plc, whose corporate headquarters was Wednesday picketed by the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has apologised to its customers.

Pointblanknews.com had broken the story of the picketing. Banking activities in all branches of the bank were paralyzed, leaving thousands of the bank’s customers across the country stranded.

In SMS messages to its customers, Diamond bank apologised for what it described as “service disruption”, assuring that “the matter is being resolved.”

“Dear Valued Customer,” the message began, “we apologise for the service disruption on Wednesday, July 10, 2013.

“Please be assured the matter is being resolved and normal banking operations continue at all our branches nationwide.,” the bank concluded.
