PHILANTHROPIST DONATES X-RAY LAB TO CRESCENT UNIVERSITY

By Idris Katib

A block of x-ray laboratory has been donated to Crescent University, Abeokuta, by the Chairman of the institution's Parents' Forum, Otunba Fatai Olukoga who is the Special Adviser to Lagos State Governor, Babatunde Fashola.

The gesture was a complement of the philanthropy of Dr Remi Olowude who had earlier donated a multi-milion naira x-ray machine as well as ICT laboratory to the university.

In his short address, Otunba Olukoga said that he chose to donate the building based on his belief that “good health is life” and that every student had a reason to use the x-ray laboratory.

In his words, “the university alone cannot shoulder the total burden of its development hence we all have to contribute in one way or the other to fast-track the university development”.

The Registrar, Barr. Zakariyyah Ajibola expressed his deep appreciation on behalf of the university management to the donor, hoping that the relationship would continue for further progress.

In his own contribution, the secretary to the Parents' Forum of the institution, Mr Ishaq Bisiriyu unveiled that another project of the forum would soon be completed for inauguration.
