EFCC Grants Ex Nasarawa Governor Temporary Bail

San Francisco Feb 23, (THEWILL) – The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has granted former governor of Nasarawa State and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Board of Trustees Secretary, Alhaji Abdullahi Adamu temporary bail to allow him furnish the commission with some documents, a source familiar with the matter told THEWILL.

Adamu is expected to turn himself into EFCC custody tomorrow (Wednesday) or latest Thursday.

The former governor was arrested on Monday morning in Abuja by the commission for allegedly misappropriating and stealing N15 billion naira through awards of various fictitious contracts during his tenure as governor.

EFCC Chairman, Mrs. Waziri Farida some weeks ago promised to arrest and prosecute more powerful persons this year in the commission's fight against graft.
