Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, yesterday, arraigned three oil dealers, Roland Enang, Theo Ohiagu and Sam Onuo-ha, before an Ikeja High Court on a two-count charge of conspiracy and obtaining money under false pretences.

The alleged fraud reportedly amounted to about N25 million.

EFCC had alleged that the accused persons fraudulently obtained the N25 million from Africoat Ltd. under false pretense.

They had reportedly claimed the money but represented the claims to Delta Omega Ltd for the procurement of Bank Guarantee from HSBC Bank, Hong Kong.

The duo of Ohiagu and Enang are directors of Claysworth Oil Limited.

However, although they all pleaded not guilty to the charge, EFCC alleged that the offences contravened Sections 1(2) and (3) and 8 (a) of the Advance Fee Fraud and Other Fraud Related Offences Act 14, 2004.

Presiding judge, Justice Adeniyi Onigbanjo, gran-ted them bail in the sum of N1 million each, with two sureties in like sum, and adjourned the matter till December16 for trial.
