Ex-militants call for Amaechi's resignation

Youths and ex-militant leaders protested at the River State Government House, asking for the resignation of Governor Rotimi Amaechi, Punch reports.

The protest brought to a halt business activities in the state capital as many business owners closed for the day for fear of being attacked by the aggrieved youths.

The protesters wants Governor Amaechi to explain how he managed the N1.6tn that had accrued to the state since he became the governor.
