Jonathan Appoints Secretary, Members For EFCC, Judicial Service Commission

SAN FRANCISCO, April 23, (THEWILL) - President Goodluck Jonathan today forwarded the names of Barrister Michael Ebong (S/S), Mr. Uwasomba Udochukwu (S/E), Mr. Emmanuel O. Ibitolu (N/C), Dr. Ismaila Mohammed Dukku (N/E) and Mr. Adesojo O. Olaoba-Efuntayo (S/W), to the Senate for confirmation as members and Secretary of the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC).

The President specifically listed Mr. Olaoba-Efuntayo as the secretary of the Commission.

In a letter to President of the Senate, David Mark that was read in plenary, Jonathan said that he acted in line with Section 2(1)(a) and (b) of the EFCC (Establishment) Act, 2004, which provides for the appointment of the Chairman and members of the commission.

Similarly, the President urged the Senate to confirm Hajiya Fatima Kwaku and Mr. Olumuyiwa as members of the Federal Judicial Service Commission.
