Foreign Minister Westerwelle condemns attack on French Embassy in Tripoli

BERLIN, Germany, April 23, 2013/African Press Organization (APO)/ -- Foreign Minister Westerwelle issued a statement today (23 April) on the sidelines of the NATO Foreign Ministers Meeting in Brussels:

I most strongly condemn the attack on our French partners' embassy in Tripoli.

Our thoughts are with all those who were injured in the attack. We wish them a speedy and complete recovery.

We expect the Libyan Government to do everything possible to protect foreign missions on its territory.

This act of terrorism directed against a diplomatic mission must be investigated as a matter of urgency and the perpetrators held to account.
