Jonathan appoints chairmen for 67 parastatals

President Goodluck Jonathan, has approved the appointment and  composition of the Chairmen and members of the Governing Councils for 67 Federal Parastatals and Agencies.

This was contained in a statement issued Monday night in Abuja and signed
by Sen Anyim Pius Anyim, Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF).

The composition of the Board is as follows; National  Boundaries Commission with Dr. Yunusa Dangwani as Chairman while Nigerian Shippers Council has General Salihu Ibrahim as Chairman.

The National Youth Service Corps has Chief Gordon Bozimo as Chairman while Nigerian Television Authority has Chief Patrick Ogbu as its Chairman.

Others include the  Raw Materials Research and Development Council which has Sen. Walid Jibrin as Chairman and National Lottery Regulation Commission with Mr. Damian Dodo, SAN as Chairman.

The Maritime Academy of Nigeria, Oron has Chief Mike Abiotomere as its Chairman while Nigerian Railway Corporation has Alhaji Kawu Baraje as head.

The statement further showed that the National Educational Research and Development Council Chairman has Dr. Stephen Dike as Chairman while the National Teacher's Institute has Barr. Ali Sa'ad Birnin Kudu as head.
National Veterinary Research Institute has Dr. Isaac Edoja as its Chairman and the National Agric Extension and Research Liaison, ABU has Mr Moses Ngbale as Chairman.

Mr Charles Ogwu is the Chairman of the Agricultural Research and Training Institute OAU, Ife and Institute for Agricultural Research , Samaru - Zaria also has Kashim Mukhtar Alkali as Chairman.

Federal Institute for Industrial Research, Oshodi-Lagos has Dr Alex Obi as chairman and Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria has Ngozi Enyioma as its Chairman.

The Industrial Training Fund, Jos has Sen. Musiliu Obanikoro as Chairman while  the Nigerian College of Aviation Technology, Zaria has Mohammed Sadiq appointed as Chairman.

Chief Emeka Wogu , Minister of Labour and Productivity is Chairman of National Directorate of Employment while the Federal Polytechnic, Ado-Ekiti has Mr. Victor Ebamoyi as Chairman.

Others include; Federal Polytechnic, Afikpo with Mr. Chimdi Ejiogu appointed as  Chairman, Federal Polytechnic Edo State has Prof. Gabriel Yumere   as chairman; for the Federal Polytechnic, Bauchi, Alh. Adamu Abdulkadir is the Chairman. Also on the list were the Federal Polytechnic, Damaturu, Yobe State which now has Abba Anas as Chairman while Federal Polytechnic, Ede has Alhaji Tajudeen Oladipo as Chairman.
The Federal Polytechnic, Idah, Kogi State has Mr Mohammed Usman as Chairman while Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro has Ethelbert Okwaranyia as Chairman and Federal Polytechnic, Kaduna has Mr Sergent Awuse as its chairman. Alhaji Lawal Nalado is the chairman of the Federal Polytechnic, Kaura Namoda and Federal Polytechnic, Mubi, Adamawa State has Surveyor Ibrahim Jahun (Galadima Bauchi) as Chairman.
The Chairman of Federal Polytechnic, Nasarawa is Sen Dipo Odujuri and Federal Polytechnic, Nekede also has Dr. Ado Yusuf as Chairman; for the Federal Polytechnic, Offa, Kwara State Chief Okey Ezenwa is the Chairman.

The Federal Polytechnic, Yaba has Chief Ebenezer Babatope as its Chairman while the Federal College of Education (SSP) Kontagora has Gambo Lawan as Chairman and Federal College of Education (Tech) Potiskum has Engr. Mohammed Abba Gana as Chairman. The Federal College of Education (Tech) Akoka, Yaba, has Alhaji Aliyu Maska as Chairman, while the Federal College of Education (Tech) Asaba has Dr. Bungum Hassan Yusuf as Chairman

The Federal College of Education (Tech) Bichi has Col U. F. Ahmed [Rtd] as Chairman while the Federal College of Education (Tech) Gombe has Engr. Saadu Maliki as its Chairman.

The statement also said that the Federal College of Education, Abeokuta has Sen. Emma Anosike as Chairman and the Federal College of Education, Eha-Amufu also has Dr E. M. I. Enemuo as Chairman. Prof. A A. Akinsola was appointed the chairman of the Federal College of Education, Kano and the Federal College of Education, Katsina has Col. Bala Mande (Rtd) as its Chairman.

For the Federal College of Education, Obudu, Alhaji  Adamu Aliyu Sumaila is the Chairman and Federal College of Education, Okene has Hon. Ebenezer Alabi as Chairman.

Also the Federal College of Education, Ondo has Amb. Musa John as Chairman and the Federal College of Education, Omoku, Rivers State has Chief Linus Okom as its Chairman.

For the Federal College of Education, Owerri,Prince Ajibola Oyinlola was appointed as Chairman while the Federal College of Education, Pankshin has Engr. Mohammed Nura Khalil as Chairman.

Mr Ugorji Amaoti is the chairman of the Federal College of Education, Yola just as Dr. Ugwu was appointed as Chairman of the Federal College of Education, Zaria.

The Federal College of Education, Zuba has Dr. Remi Akintoye as Chairman and the Federal Housing Authority has Sen. Lee Maeba as Chairman.

The statement added that the Upper Niger River Basin Dev. Authority has Mr Sam Odeh as its Chairman while the Lower Niger River Basin Development Authority has Mr David Idoko as Chairman. It said that for the Ogun-Osun River Basin Development Authority, Col. I. Biu is Chairman and the Benin-Owena RIver Basin Development Authority has Mr. William A. Makinde as Chairman.

According to the statement;' the Niger Delta River Basin Dev. Authority has Chief James Sekibo as its Chairman and the Cross River Basin Authority has Mr Mike Mku as Chairman.

Already, the Chad Basin Development Authority has Sen Zego Azi as Chairman while the Hadeja-Jama'are River Basin Development Authority has Chief Mike Mku as Chairman.

The Sokoto Rima River Basin Development Authority has Dr. Abdu Bulama as Chairman while the Anambra-Imo River Basin Authority has Dr. Sam Sam Jaja has Chairman.

In the same vein, the Upper Benue River Basin Development Authority has Engr. Clifford Odia as Chairman and Lower Benue River Basin Development Authority has  Dr. Christie Silas as Chairman.

According to the statement, each Governing Council/Board shall include the Ex-0fficio memberships specified in the Enabling Law of the Parastatal/Agency.

It added that the dates for the formal inauguration of the above Governing Councils/Boards will be announced in due course by the ministers or the relevant supervising authorities responsible for the various Parastatals/Agencies.
