OXFORD AND CAMBRIDGE CLUB HOLDS BUSINESS LUNCHEON

Lagos, Nigeria; April 16, 2013: The Oxford and Cambridge Club of Nigeria will hold a Business Luncheon slated for April 18, 2013 at the Metropolitan Club, Victoria Island, Lagos. It is the first of its kind for the Club made up of alumni members of both universities who are of Nigerian origin.

The Business Luncheon which seeks to advance discussions on business, economic, political and social issues affecting the contemporary Nigerian society will feature a spring lecture on the Nigerian economy entitled: Growth and Development in Nigeria: Medium Term Prospects to be given by renowned technocrat and former Federal Minister of Petroleum, Chief Philip Asiodu, CON, MA (Oxon).

It would be recalled President Paul Kigame of Rwanda delivered the 2012 spring lecture during his two-day official working visit to Nigeria.


According to a statement from the secretariat of the alumni body, participants at the business luncheon will cut across various sectors of the Nigerian economy.

The Oxford and Cambridge Club of Nigeria is a professional business and social club made up of ex-graduates from the two prestigious universities, and it aims to provide members platforms to socialize and network while promoting thought leadership on a number of topical issues affecting the society.
