Diamond Bank hosts 29th ‘Diamond Business Xpress Enterprise Series’ in Akure
Lagos, Nigeria, 10 April, 2013: Continuing its commitment to promote sustainable entrepreneurship, Diamond Bank Plc, has promised constant participants in its Diamond Business Xpress Enterprise Series discount for their loans.
Head, MSME Propositions, Diamond Bank, Mr Chima Nnadozie made this known at the 29th Diamond Business Xpress Enterprise Series for entrepreneurs at Jojein Hotels & Resort, Oba Ile, Akure, Ondo State.
"This seminar is part of the non financial services which is included in the Diamond Bank plans for MSMEs. This is the 29th in its series and currently we have about 250 participants. The aim of the seminar is to help build the managerial capacity of the MSME customers because we recognize that a lot of people who are running businesses today are not formally trained. Some are engineers running business and there is that gap in running the business that the seminar is to address.
He said; “There is also another seminar where we will address business planning and at the end of the seminar, we will issue a certificate to participants. We have this every year and it is in a series. Those who have attended all the seminars will get a discount for participating when they come to borrow. These persons are at less risk when they come to lend because we are sure they have gained from participating in these series.”
The facilitator, MD/CEO John Kollyns Global Resources, Mr. John Kolawole who spoke on extensively the theme 'Developing Business Idea for Expansion', commended Diamond Bank for the initiative saying that this series will help MSMEs owners when expanding their business.
“It is important to see the situation report now and anticipate future events and developments which often lead to strategic positioning”.
He further added that “it is important to get trained, acquire knowledge and skills, arrange for refresher for skill and expertise improvement. Keep your eyes on your dreams and value the details of the process involved in getting there. It is a matter of time, you will get there”.
The Diamond Xpress Enterprise Series which is in its 26th edition, was launched in 2010 to add value to businesses, whether a micro, small or medium scale enterprise. The series has gone round many cities, mentoring entrepreneurs across the country and has been well received by entrepreneurs. The series was designed to help the bank's customers under the category to grow their businesses till they graduate to the upper level market.
