Federations' Elections: NSC Expands Collection Points For Nomination Forms
SAN FRANCISCO, April 10, (THEWILL) - In response to appeals from some quarters and to ensure that the forthcoming elections into the boards of the various sporting Federations are hitch free, the National Sports Commission (NSC) has expanded the collection points for the nomination forms.
A statement issued, Wednesday, by the Special Assistant (Media) to the Minister of Sports, Julius Ogunro, said in addition to the national offices/headquarters of the various sports Federation, interested stakeholders who wish to participate in the zonal elections can also get the nomination forms from the six geo-political zones of the NSC located at Ibadan, Benin, Enugu, Kaduna, Jos and Bauchi.
The statement added that interested participants can also download the forms from the Commission’s website at www.sportscommission.gov.ng.
“The completed nomination forms are to be submitted either at the zonal offices of the NSC listed above or to the national office/headquarters of the Federation concerned. The timelines and schedules for the elections however remain unchanged.
“The NSC wishes to thank all stakeholders for the enthusiasm and interest shown so far for the election process and assures all that it would ensure credible and fair elections,” the statement also said.
