14th Extraordinary Session of the Executive Council to hold at AU Headquarters in Addis Ababa

ADDIS ABABA, Ethiopia, April 4, 2013/African Press Organization (APO)/ -- Ministers of External Affairs and other ministers or authorities designated by the governments of AU Member States will meet on Monday 8 April 2013, at the headquarters of the African Union (AU), within the framework of the 14th Extraordinary Session of the Executive Council. This extraordinary session is aimed to discuss the status of preparations for the 50th Anniversary of the Organisation of African Unity now the African Union (OAU/AU) to be celebrated under the theme: “Pan Africanism and African Renaissance”.

The Executive Council will also consider the draft Strategic Plan 2014-2017 for the African Union Commission (AUC) as well as the 2014 the progress report on the draft budget of the AUC for 2014.
