As part of Easter celebration, Gov. Obi visited many hospitals in the State, where he interacted with the sick ones, settled the Bills of indigent ones, discharged long ago, but could not pay the bills.

At one of the hospitals, Holy Rosary Hospital, Waterside, Onitsha, the Governor paid the bill of 10 poor ones that had been discharged but could not pay the bills as well as 15 women that were delivered of new born babies.

Obi said that beyond Easter celebration that the gesture was a way of identifying with the people and letting them know that the Governor felt for them at all times. He said that part of the feeling for the people informed his efforts to improve the healthcare delivery in the State to serve the people of the State better.

Further, he said the collaboration with the Church was informed by the fact that they treated the people of the State and that their charges were affordable as they were more of charity organizations.

One of those that benefitted from the Governor's gesture, Sergeant Kevin Osai extolled the Governor for his commitment to the promotion of the welfare of the people. He said that under Obi, the people of the State, for the first time, have come to witness what real governance was.

Speaking, the Hospital Administrator, Rev Fr. Stanley Ozigbo thanked the Governor for allowing himself to be used by God to renew the face of Anambra State.
