Police Bust Bomb-Laden Car In Kano

SAN FRANCISCO, March 27, (THEWILL) – The Kano State Police Command has busted a plan of another bomb attack in Kano as a Volkswagen Golf 3 car laden with Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) was intercepted,Tuesday, at Inuwa Village in Ungoggo Local Government Area of the state.

Disclosing this, Wednesday, at a media briefing in Kano, the State Commissioner of Police, Musa Daura, said the occupants of the vehicle who are now at large, were badly injured during a gun duel with the police.

The police chief said the vehicle was busted yesterday at about 9:30am following a tip-off from some members of the public as he stressed that the intention of those behind the plan was to cause havoc and destabilise the town..

Daura disclosed that the area where the vehicle was intercepted had been cordoned off as he urged members of the public to report any suspicious movement around the area to security operatives.
