Mr. Nekkaz offers to meet with the heads of Ansaru and Boko Haram organizations

Rachid Nekkaz, a French muslim of Algerian origin, candidate in 2007 for the French Presidential élections and spokeman for the non-profit organisation "Hands off my Consitution", intends to be in Kano from April 1st to 7th, 2013. He will travel there with the organization's President, Mr. Jean-Bruno Roumegoux.

Mr. Nekkaz created a 1 million euro foundation in 2010, destined to defend the constitutional rights of women in France and Belgium, by paying all fines related to the recently enacted anti-Niqab law. Thanks to Mr. Nekkaz, muslim women in France and Belgium are no longer afraid to wear their Niqab in the streets.

Muslim spiritual leaders across the world, such as Egypt's Cheikh About Ishaq, and Iran's Ayatollah Safi, have saluted and celebrated Mr. Nekkaz for his actions and his advocacy for the rights of muslim women in Europe.

Despite numerous problems with the French government such as 2 international tax audits and one week imprisonment for his political activism, Rachid Nekkaz has vowed not to abandon his plight in defending the rights of women who willingly choose to wear a full veil.

In November of 2009, Rachid Nekkaz and Jean-Bruno Roumegoux travelled to China in hopes of preventing the execution of 12 young Uyghurs, a muslim minority in China living mainly in the region Xinjuang, in western China.

Mr. Rachid Nekkaz states that, "With respect to the dignity of the muslim people of Africa and of of Nigeria, the actions of the Boko Haram and Ansaru organizations have definitely resulted in numerous repercussions in the international press since 2009".

Boko Haram and Ansaru are organizations that advocate the respect and dignity of African Muslims. Their actions and proclaimed mission have been compared with the "Black Panthers", the controversial American organization of the 1960's and 70's.

"The Black Panthers of America made many key strategic errors in their time'" says Nekkaz, and adds: "those errors have tainted not only their image, but that of islam in and outside the US for the last 30 years."

With this trip to Nigeria in early April, Mr. Nekkaz says he hopes to help the leaders of Boko Haram and Ansaru avoid the errors made by the Black Panthers, "by discussing and helping their mission and their strategic choices in a way that would accomplish their local mission, while improving the image of Islam across the world".

During his trip to Nigeria, Rachid Nekkaz also hopes to address the French hostage situation.

Mr. Nekkaz is the author of "Millenarium", a book of interviews with the leaders of the G7 countries (Clinton, Chirac, Blair...). The book is focused on the future of World Ethics, Human Rights, and Peace.
