The president of Igbo Film Forum (IFF) Chief (Dr) Harris Chuma, has been crowned the Eze Omenani Igbo Bu Council in Ifo local government area of Ogun State.

Chuma, who heads the body of Nollywood actors of Igbo extraction, was on Sunday, February 11, 2013, blessed and received by the council of chiefs and the Eze Ndigbo of Ogun state, Eze Willy Ejimkoye, at his Ifo palace.

According to the president-general of the Igbo Bu Igbo community, Chief Namdi Udeagha, the office of the Eze Omenani plays supreme traditional and royal role to members of Igbo Bu Igbo community in Ifo, Ogun State.

In his speech, Chuma said "it doesn't add one thing to me that I am Eze Omenani, it will even remove from me, in terms of my call as an entertainer.

"I have sat with many Eze Ndigbo. I have respect for them. The question is can I change people's lives? Can I affect people's lives by my life? That is what matters to me, not title."

On Saturday, March 16, the new traditional leader will be unveiled to the media. The event starts by 12noon.
