The Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF) recently hosted 6th Annual Town Meeting at Civic Centre, Ozumba Nbakwe Street, Victoria Island, Lagos.

Speaking at the event, Babatunde Raji Fashola, Lagos State Governor, said he is very comfortable with the state of security in the state. We are working hard to see that no room is given to security failure in the state that is why we are procuring security gadgets to tackle armed robbery, terrorism and others within the state. The topic before us says” Growing own Investment “. We must invest hugely on security of lives and property in the state. The existence of full cooperation of Lagosians and security operatives will help to fight against insecurity in the state and nothing else, he said.

Mr. Remi Makanjuola, the chairman of LSSTF said we have tried as possible to make the state government to procure over 600 vehicles for our security operatives and still need mobile radio sets, walkies talkies, metal dectators and others to protect the state.

Engr. Solomon Okpithe who was one of the resource participants at the LSSTF event said. I sincerely appreciated those who put this formidable event together to fight against insecurity in Lagos State. Other governors of the country must follow Fashola's kind gesture on security to track down terrorism in Nigeria. I have learnt a lot from this Town Hall meeting on security investment. Private individuals must support Fashola's drive on security, he added.

Those that graced the event were Waheed Olusegun Kassim, Kehinde Durosinmi- Etti, Bisi Onosanya, Ebenezar Onyeagwu, Opeyemi Adbaye, Gbolanhan Lawal, Biyi Mabadeje, Fola Arthur Worrey and others.
