Senate President angry over Kano, Yobe killings

President of the Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria Senator David Bonaventure Mark has condemned the killing of heath workers in Kano and Yobe states by yet to be identified gunmen saying enough of these mindless killings.

A statement by Paul Mumeh, David Mark's Chief Press Secretary quoted the Senate President as say that the killings were barbaric and sacrilege.

'It is unimaginable that those who were offering services to save lives were themselves murdered in cold blood. Something has gone wrong. This is inhuman”, an angry Senator Mark lamented.

He said the unprovoked attacks and unwarranted killings of the polio vaccinators cannot be swept under the carpet saying all right thinking persons  in the society must rise up to the challenge.

Mark therefore charged the security operatives to redouble their efforts not only to fish out the perpetrators of the heinous crime but to effectively secure lives and property in our country.
