HUMAN RIGHTS REPORT: OPEN LETTER TO GOODLUCK JONATHAN: NEVER RENEW THE APPOINTMENTS OF INEC CHAIRMAN- JEGA AND CBN GOVOERNOR SANUSI

There is no circumlocution when matters of grave importance are discussed. The Igbo proverb says “there is no Long Preaching in the Evening Service”. The Nigerian Nation is simmering with islamic violence and bokoharamic suicide bombing and killings. This does not mean that Jega is the sponsor. For CBN Governor, it is not so. He is known for his fundamentalist islamic stance. He does not hide it, and so, he could be a sponsor of bokoharam. He has said it severally that he does not believe that Nigeria is a Secular State. He studied islamic fundamentalism in Kharteum University in Sudan at Post Graduate Diploma level. The Vice President Nemadi Sambo was accused by Kabiru Sokoto when he was caught at the first time of sponsoring bokoharam. That accusation was never investigated by Jonathan. Why?

Jonathan who certainly has no goodluck in tamming islamic insurgence came around to tell curious Nigerians that there is bokoharam in his Government. What an uninformed statement from the mouth of the Chief Security Officer of the Nation! Who are the bokoharam in his Government? Does he want Comrade Kindness Innocent Jonah to fish them out for him? Then he should pay me, and I must do it for him. That makes me to believe that this man called Goodluck Jonathan had better gone to Bayelsa, to Yenagoa, to Otuoke and become the Controller-General of Otuoke Zoo, because he read Zoology and was teaching it in the University of Port-Harcourt before what was misconstrued to be goodluck took him out to the Seat of Power. He could have contributed more to the development of Nigeria as the Controller-General of Otuoke Zoo and Wild Park than becoming President of Nigeria when he cannot fish out the bokoharam inside his Cabinet. Jane Virginia as a woman of honour could have been better as President of Nigeria.

There is no way Jane Virginia couldn't have fished out the bokoharam in her Government before opening mouth to make outrageous and outlandish statement when she is the Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Who is more qualified to fish out dissident elements of the society than the C-in-C? You have the: Army, Navy, Airforce, Police, Customs, SSS and all other paramilitary as armed men to quell riot and fish out criminals. Yet, Jonathan cannot even get them out right there in his Cabinet, not to talk of flying to far flung Yobe or Borno or Sokoto or Kano to get bokoharam. Is that not a wishful thinking?

Who are the bokoharam in Goodluck Jonathan's Government? Did he investigate Nemadi Sambo accused by Kabiru Sokoto initially as sponsoring bokoharam? Did he investigate those who said they would make his Government ungovernable? Did he investigate those who say that despite the atrocities daily committed by bokoharam, they are not terrorist organization? Why play to the gallery when you know the people that are causing the problem?

Now this known son and fundamentalist and brother of bokoharam called Sanusi Lamido Sanusi – Governor of Central Bank should be investigated. He has been turbaned by bokoharam in Kano State. What else do you need before you arrest him?

This man killed a very rich and the most branded bank in Nigeria – Intercontinental Bank and replaced it with a far lesser bank – Access Bank, and depositors are having problem because the younger is carrying the elder which is an aberration in African culture.

Jega's tenure as well as Sanusi's is coming to an end. This Goodluck Jonathan whom I know is politically deaf, otherwise he has no reason whatsoever to ever think of re-appointing Jega and Sanusi because that is tentamount to bokoharamic success in the security-fragile nation called Nigeria.
