Promasidor receives Lagos Tax Compliance award

Lagos, Nigeria, 18, January 2013: Lagos State Government (LASG) has presented Corporate Organisation Tax Compliance award to Promasidor Nigeria Limited, makers of quality food products in recognition of its consistent compliance with the state tax laws.


The award was presented to the company by Mr. Babatunde Fashola, the governor of the state at the 6th Lagos State Taxation Stakeholders' conference held in Lagos last week.

According to Mr. Tunde Fowler, Executive Chairman, Lagos State Board of Internal Revenue, Promasidor Nigeria has always been consistent and regular in paying its taxes.


“This company has been regular in paying its taxes, without being pushed. Some other companies do pay through their agencies while Promasidor Nigeria pays directly and promptly. In most cases, Promasidor calls us to their office that our payment is ready.”


He enjoined other companies to emulate Promasidor and be tax complaint.


Speaking on the award, Head, Legal and Public Relations, Promasidor Nigeria, Mr. Andrew Enahoro said Promasidor is excited to be given this award and wants to assure you that we will only get better.


“Promasidor take paying tax seriously. As a company we try as much as possible to make sure all our documents are intact. We do not wait for them to come and tell us we are owing, rather we go to them that this is our tax levy. ”


The conference which was hosted by Fashola, the governor of the state, is an annual event held by the state's Internal Revenue Service LIRS, to interact with the public on how their tax levies were spent, give opportunity to the public to ask questions and get replies and also to commend those who been consistent all year round.
