Bayelsa Governor Dickson Resumes
SAN FRANCISCO, January 23, (THEWILL) – Bayelsa State Governor, Mr. Henry Seriake Dickson Wednesday afternoon returned to the state to resume work after a 2-week vacation.
A Government House statement said he inspected a guard of honour mounted by a detachment of the Nigeria Police attached to Government House, Yenagoa, when he arrived.
The Governor during a chat with correspondents expressed his delight to be back to the state to carry-on the business of governance.
He also thanked members of the restoration team particularly his Deputy Governor, Rear Admiral Gboribiogha John Jonah (Rtd), for holding fort while he was away.
Governor Dickson re-assured Bayelsans of his administration’s commitment to deliver the dividends of democracy.
On hand to receive the Governor, were the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Konbowei Benson, members of the State House of Assembly, the Secretary to the State Government, Professor Edmund Allison- Oguru and some members of the State Executive Council.
