Dispatch to Algeria of Mr. Shunichi Suzuki, Parliamentary Senior Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs (as Special Envoy of the Prime Minister)

TOKYO, Japan, January 23, 2013/African Press Organization (APO)/ -- On January 22, Mr. Shunichi Suzuki, Parliamentary Senior Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs, will visit Algeria on a government aircraft as Special Envoy of Prime Minister Shinzo Abe in relation to the hostage of Japanese nationals in Algeria.

Special Envoy Suzuki will support the return to Japan of the seven Japanese nationals confirmed to be safe and transport of the remains of the seven Japanese nationals confirmed on January 21 to have perished. He also plans to seek cooperation from the Algerian Government for this work.
